His Grace Bishop Panteleimon, paid a visit to the Parish of the Holy Diocese of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon, with the smallest number of faithful, on Sunday 2 November 2014, in the village of Louingui in south Congo.

The severe tropical storm, the mist and the slippery roads, did not stop the faithful from coming to the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy, which was conducted at the Church of St Spyridon which is under construction.

During the Eucharistic gathering the Bishop preached the homily, and before the dismissal the Chairman of the Parish Council, Mr. Romeo Mampoya warmly addressed His Grace, who in his turn praised both the zeal of the Parish Priest, Fr. Jean-Marie Marc Zingoula, as well as the remarkable unity which prevails among the faithful. A lengthy meeting followed with the members of the Parish Council and then a festive meal was hosted.

The foundation stone of the Holy Church of St Spyridon was laid in 2007 and remains semi-completed, as a result of the present economic hardship. The registered faithful of this Parish number sixty-two, however, the majority of these now live permanently in Brazzaville, the capital of the country.
