During his stay in Dolisie on 7 November 2014, His Grace Panteleimon Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon had lengthy discussions with the Reverend Fr. Paul Diafouka, Director of the “St Efstathios” Orthodox Orphanage and Parish Priest of the Holy Parish Church of St Irene, on issues regarding the proper administration of the institution and the compilation of the daily programme of activities for children during the new school year.

Also, he gave to the children who were present (the others were at their school since in the Congo they apply the system of rotating morning and afternoon operation of schools) new shoes and appropriate athletic outfits for their school athletics activities, as well as an enormous amount of material for making of bed covers, through the care of Fr Paul. The above items are a donation from the youth of the Lebanese community of Pointe-Noire, in memory of their young compatriot who passed away suddenly in the Congo.

Also noted is that on 17 October 2014, Mrs. Nsansa Melanine from the capital Brazzaville, purchased and donated athletic foot wear for all the children at the Orphanage. Also, Mrs. Koubango Eveline from Dolisie donated an large amount of stationery (exercise books) and the family of the accountant of the Holy Diocese, Mrs. Ntsatou née Moussolo N’zoumba Sylvie, from Pointe-Noire, donated food.

The visit of His Grace to Dolisie ended with the service of the Great Paraklesis to the Most Holy Theotokos at the Church of St Irene, as well as a homily for the faithful of the Community Parish.
