On Saturday 10th September 2016, His Grace Panteleimon, Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon, arrived in Brazzaville, capital of the Congo, to visit the Parish Community of the Resurrection of the Lord.

On the evening of the same day, following Vespers, a lengthy meeting took place of the Bishop with the Members of the Parish Council for the further coordination of the pastoral work and the spiritual progress of the Parish Community.

On Sunday 11th September. His Grace performed the Divine Liturgy and preached the homily at the above-named Church. Prior to the end of the Eucharistic Gathering, with the blessing of His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria, he awarded the office of Economos to the educated Parish Priest Fr. Sergios Mabelemo, on the occasion of his completion of fifteen years of productive priestly ministry. He also consecrated a new Reader.

In conclusion he handed out copies of the New Testament to the entire congregation. The Honorable Mr. Adrien Hossie, Chairman of the Parish Community, expressed their joy and gratitude to their Bishop for his constant care.

A festive meal was then served in the adjacent hall, followed by a private meeting between the Bishop and the Readers and the members of the choir of the Church, as well as with a candidate for ordination to the priesthood, following which he departed by air for the See of the Diocese in Pointe-Noire.
