On 15th August 2017, immediately following the Divine Liturgy, His Grace Panteleimon, Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon, accompanied by the Reverend Economos Fr. Sergios Mabelemo, Parish Priest of the Holy Church of the Resurrection of the Lord, in Brazzaville, and following a formal invitation from the President of the Republic of Congo, attended the military parade, as well as the parade of representatives of society of citizens, which too place as part of the national anniversary for the completion of 57 years from the country’s independence (15 August 1960).
Present at the parade were His Excellency the President of the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville) Mr. Denis Sassou N’guesso with his wife, His Excellency the Prime Minister, the Chairmen of the Senate and of Parliament, the Members of the Ministerial Council, the Heads of the Armed Forces and the Security Services, members of Parliament, Ambassadors and other officials.
Following the end of the parade, His Grace flew back to the See of the Holy Diocese, in Pointe-Noire.
