Through the mercy of the All Merciful God and the practical love of Greek and Congolese Orthodox Christians, another container 12 metres in length arrived from Greece at the See of the Holy Diocese of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon, in Pointe-Noire, on 29th September 2017.
The container, sent through the initiative of the Holy Diocese, contained amongst other things palettes of large granite tiles for the completion of the floor of the Cathedral of St Dimitrios in Pointe-Noire which is under construction, as well as the Parish Church of St Fotini in Pointe-Noire, clothing, shoes, electrical appliances, bed linen, educational material and toys for the children at the ‘St Efstathios” Orthodox Orphanage, tiles and hygiene units for the brand new ablution blocs of the same institution, church appurtenances and bells for the Churches, as well as many other necessities for our suffering African fellow human beings. The appreciation of the local Church of Congo-Brazzaville to all who contributed to this effort is immeasurable.
