On Friday 19th January 2018, the ceremony for the hand-over of the presidency of the Council of Christian Churches of the Republic of the Congo took place in the capital, Brazzaville of the Congo, for the period 2018-2020, to His Eminence Panteleimon Metropolitan of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon.
After the review of the activities by the outgoing President of the Council Pastor Joseph MANVOUNVOU, President of the Congolese Evangelical Church, the official handing over of the gavel to His Eminence took place, with the sound of which the President declares the opening or closing of the meetings or the final ratification of each decision, as well as the seal of the C.C.C.C.
His Eminence then made a brief address to the Christians present. Note that the Council of Christian Churches of Congo-Brazzaville was founded in 1970 and is made up of the five officially recognized Christian communities in the country, Roman Catholic, Evangelical, Lutheran, Orthodox and the Salvation Army
