On 1st October 2017, His Grace Panteleimon, Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon, officiated at the Divine Liturgy and the Sanctification of Water ceremony for the start of the new month at the Holy Parish Church of St Fotini, which is under construction in the Mpaka suburb of Pointe-Noire, and he preached the homily.
After the end of the Eucharistic gathering, he held a meeting with the members of the Church Council on issues relating to the general progress of the works (laying of the granite floor tiles, completion of the layout of the grounds, etc) as well as the construction of the iconostasis.
