On Sunday 18th December 2016, His Grace Panteleimon, Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon, conducted the Divine Liturgy and preached the homily at the temporary Holy Cathedral of St Dimitrios in Pointe-Noire, interpreting at length – for the spiritual edification of the faithful, as well as the catechumens present – on the theological message of the coming Feast of the Nativity of Christ.
The Eucharistic gathering ended with words of love and gratitude to the Bishop by the Honorable Mr. Seraphin Bhalat, Director General of the Pointe-Noire harbor and Member of the Diocesan Council, representing the congregation, on the completion of his four years of productive pastoral ministry on the African equator, amidst difficult financial crisis and other adversities.
