The Nativity of the God Man was celebrated with devotion and spiritual joy at the temporary Cathedral of St Dimitrios in Pointe-Noire. His Grace Panteleimon Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Midnight, during which he read the Message of the Nativity from His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa.
Before the end of the Eucharistic Gathering, His Grace donated a set of vestments to the Dean of the Parish, for his profitable ministry, the Reverend Father Maximos Oumba, Hierarchal Vicar General of the Holy Diocese of Congo-Brazzaille and Gabon.
In conclusion, the surprise visit of “Father Christmas” brought great joy to the little children, when he gave them toys and clothing which the Bishop had obtained through the beneficial assistance of the Lebanese Christian community.
