DIVINE LITURGY IN DOLISIE – LOVING CONTRIBUTION TO THE ORPHANED CHILDREN

On Sunday 15^th November 2015, His Grace Panteleimon Bishop of Brazzaville and Gabon, conducted the Divine Liturgy and preached the homily at the Holy Church of St Irene in Dolisie. Present at the Eucharistic gathering were the Honourable Mayor of the city and representatives of the local authorities, to whom His Grace expressed his gratitude for their support both to the Parish Community as well as to the “St Efstathios” Orthodox Orphanage.

The Parish Council then hosted a festive reception at an adjacent hall, at the end of which His Grace had a lengthy meeting and discussion with the children in the care of the aforementioned Institution. He gave them all school stationary, sweets and refreshments, a loving contribution from the Brotherhood of Orthodox External Missions in Thessaloniki. The joy the children felt was expressed through traditional songs and dances during the Bishop’s departure.
