During his pastoral visit to the city of Dolisie on 16th December 2017, His Eminence Panteleimom, Metropolitan of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon visited the “St Efstathios” Orphanage, after the baptisms of the newly-enlightened brothers and sisters.

At the institution, he had the joy of spending many hours with the children there, to whom he spoke of the message of the feasts of the Twelve Days, as well as their spiritual preparation for the birth of the Godman, and he gave them new clothes and shoes, which are a donation from the KLEOS Company and the beloved Chairman and CEO Mr Stefanos Tsolakidis, together with board games and school supplies.

He also delivered a large quantity of tiles which are a generous offer from the dear entrepreneur Antonios Lakiotis, to complete the works of the major reconstruction of the orphanage's baths and toilets.

A meeting with the young pupils followed at the adjacent Orthodox “Light of the Nations”  Primary School, as well as a visit to the completed new crossing which the local Church built, to lessen the distance existing between the above-named school, the Orphanage and the Parish Church of St Fotini by a considerable amount – and by extension the entire suburb – with the centre of the city of Dolisie.

After the end of Vespers, His Eminence met again with the children of the Orphanage, giving them sweets and refreshments. The day ended with a dinner which was given in honour of His Eminence by distinguished associates of the Holy Metropolis.
