MEETING BETWEEN HIS GRACE THE BISHOP OF BRAZZAVILLE WI TH HIS EXCELLENCY THE MINISTER OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO
On Monday 25th November 2013, His Grace Panteleimon, Bishop of Brazzaville, accompanied by the Honourable Mr. Nikolaos Perris, Consul General of Greece in the Congo, met for the second time with His Excellency Mr. Pierre Mabiala, Minister of Public Works with whom he agreed on details regarding the granting of state land in the northern part of the country for further development of the Orthodox presence in that area.
The Minister immediately gave orders to his relevant colleagues to draw up the title deeds in the name of the Orthodox Church and visit was agreed on together with the Bishop to the granted land, after the conclusion of the legal procedures, for the ceremony of handing over, according to the local customs.
His Grace expressed to the Minister the grateful thanks of the ancient Patriarchate of Alexandria and its Venerable Primate, His Beatitude Pope and Patriarch Theodoros II, as well as those of the local Church for the willing assistance of the Government to the laborious missionary and pastoral efforts.
