On Sunday 23rd May 2022, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria attended the Divine Liturgy served at the Holy Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Theotokos in Alexandria, prior to the end of which he announced the appointment of His Eminence Panteleimon Metropolitan of Naucratis, Chief Secretary and Member of the Holy Synod, as the new Hierarchal Vicar of the afore-mentioned beautiful Church.
It is noted that His Eminence Panteleimon as an Archimandrite served as Parish Priest in the same Church during the period 2006-2012 and it is there that he received the third degree of Priesthood during his ordination as Bishop, on December 2nd, 2012.
