PALM SUNDAY
Palm Sunday was celebrated with pomp on Sunday 9th April 2017, in the under construction Parish Church of St Fotini in the Mpaka suburb of the city of Pointe-Noire.
His Grace Panteleimon, Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville, led the Divine Liturgy and the Parish Priest Fr Silouan Nkounkou read the Encyclical of the Bishop to the Christians people of the local Church of Congo and Gabon for Holy Week and Pascha.
The distribution of palms followed as well as the well-known hymns of Palm Sunday, according to local tradition.
