On The morning of 7th February 2015, His Grace Panteleimon Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon, accompanied by the Reverend Protopresbyter Maximos Oumba, Vicar General of the Holy Diocese, went to the “Agios Efstathios” Orphanage in Dolisie, where he had the joy of spending many hours with the 24 orphan children there.

He went on to meet with members of the Humanistic organization “Foundation des amis de Mwana Ndeya pour la Développement du Congo”, founder of which is Mr. Denis Christel Sassou Nguesso, son of His Excellency the President of the Republic of the Congo. The members of this movement, accompanied by a television crew, came voluntarily to the philanthropic institution of the Holy Diocese and donated a quantity of foods, thanking the local Church for its service to these suffering children.

He then performed the marriage of pious parishioners of the adjacent Holy Church of St Irene, after which he received the newly-elected Mayor of Dolisie, Mr. Yves Fernard Diokouandi and the Deputy Mayors in the grounds of the Orphanage. The Mayor expressed the gratitude of the local community towards the Holy Church for its contribution and invited the Bishop to officially visit the Town Hall.

On the afternoon of the same day His Grace arrived in the town of Nkayi, where he had a lengthy meeting with the Church Council of the Parish Community of the Transfiguration of the Lord.
