On Tuesday, 8th July 2014, a Priest’s Meeting of the clergy of the Holy Diocese of Brazzaville and Gabon took place at the Holy Church of the Resurrection of the Lord in Brazzaville. The main topic of the meeting was the holy Sacrament of Marriage, as well as the pastoral work of the local Church in this, in connection with the strict local customs, as well as the existing legislation of the Congo.
Other pastoral and administration issues were also discussed, and guidelines and directions were given by His Grace Panteleimon Bishop of Brazzaville. Bringing the meeting to a close, the Bishop warmly thanked the priests for their exemplary cooperation and their unbreakable unity with their Bishop, as well as the ardent zeal they show in the carrying out of their priestly responsibilities. He then passed on to them the paternal prayers and blessings of His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa.
At the end, the Parish Community of the Resurrection of the Lord in the capital, Brazzaville, hosted a sumptuous meal for the clergy, overseen by its Parish Priest, Reverend Protopresbyter Bernard Diafouka.
