THE BISHOP MEETS WITH THE GOVERNOR OF POINTE-NOIRE
On Tuesday 17th December 2013, His Grace Panteleimon Bishop of Brazzaville and Gabon, accompanied by the Reverend Protopresbyter Fr Maximo Oumba, Parish Priest of the Holy Cathedral of St Dimitrios in Pointe-Noire, visited His Excellency Mr. Alexandre Honore Paka, Governor of the District of Pointe-Noire, with whom he had lengthy discussions on issues regarding the collaboration between the Church and the agents of the local Self-Government of the second largest city in the Congo.
His Excellency Mr. Paka, as the immediate representative of the President of the Republic of the Congo in the Pointe-Noire district, expressed the gratitude of the Country for the work undertaken by the Holy Diocese for the benefit of its citizens and declared his full and effective support of the local Orthodox Church.
