His Grace Panteleimon Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon met with His Excellency Mr. Raymond Zephirin Mboulou, Minister of the Interior for the republic of Congo-Brazzaville, who is responsible for Church affairs, on 7th January 2015.
His grace visited the Minister to express the gratitude of the ancient Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa, its Venerable Primate His Beatitude Theodoros II and of the local Church for the final and successful outcome of a case of the Holy Diocese in Northern Congo, following the decisions taken by His Excellency Mr. Mboulou. He also issued an invitation to him to the See of the Holy Diocese in Pointe-Noire.
Directly accepting the invitation the Minister assured the Bishop about his full support of the important work being done by the Orthodox Church in the country, and received a holy icon. His Grace Panteleimon went to the Presidential Mansion to pass on his wishes on the start of the New Year to His Excellency Mr. Denis Sassou Ngesso, President of the Republic of the Congo, according to state etiquette.
