In the Holy Cathedral of St Nicholas of the Holy metropolis of Naucratis in the Camp Cesar district of Alexandria, on the morning of July 27, 2022, a Hierarchal Divine Liturgy was held in commemoration of St Panteleimon the Healer, served by His Eminence Metropolitan Panteleimon of Naucratis, Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Alexandria.
Preaching the homily, His Eminence the Metropolitan of Naucratis spoke of the life of the celebrating Saint and the example of his sacrificial love for all, expressed his gratitude to the ancient Patriarchate and to His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa for his multiple favors to one of the least, while he heartily thanked the concelebrating clergy and the devout believers, who came to pray together and wish the metropolitan who celebrates his name day. This was followed by a festive gathering in the adjacent premises of the Holy Metropolis.
At noon on the same day, His Eminence offered lunch and sweets to the African students of the “St Athanasios” Patriarchal Academy inside the centuries-old Holy Monastery of Saint Savvas of Alexandria, with the participation of its Head, His Grace Germanos, Bishop of Tamiathus.
