On Sunday 25th March 2018, His Eminence Panteleimon, Metropolitan of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon, conducted the Divine Liturgy and preached the homily about the Annunciation of the Theotokos at the under construction Holy Parish Church of St Fotini in the Mpaka suburb of Pointe-Noire.
Before the end of the Eucharistic Gathering, he wholeheartedly congratulated the Church Council for the completion of the iconostasis, which was made by a native Orthodox woodcarver, as well as for the installation of the air-conditioning systems. He also congratulated the large choir of the Church on their impressive development over the course of their two-year history.
In conclusion he donated a new set of mourning priestly vestments to the Parish Priest Fr. Silouan Nkounkou, who since his appointment to the Parish in 2014, undettakes his spiritual and liturgical duties with dedication in the church which is still under construction.
