THE METROPOLITAN OF NAUCRATIS AT THE CHALKIS THEOLOGICAL SCHOOL

On October 8, 2022, His Eminence Panteleimon Metropolitan of Naucratis, Chief Secretary of the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, traveled by boat to the Holy Theological School on the island of Chalkis in the Sea of Marmara, accompanied by the Great Archimandrite Agathangelos Siskos, Archivist of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

His Eminence was welcomed by the His Grace Kassianos, Bishop of Arabissou, who guided him around the premises of the Theological School of the same name, whose operation was suspended by the Turkish state since 1971.

During his visit to Chalki, the Metropolitan of Naucratis attended an official lunch hosted by His Grace theBishop of Arabissou, in honor of high-ranking visitors to the School, including Her Excellency Mrs. Zetta Makri, Deputy Minister of Education and Religious Affairs of Greece, with whom His Eminence Panteleimon had an extensive discussion.

After his return to Constantinople, His Eminence attended a dinner hosted in his honor by the Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Throne.
