THE METROPOLITAN OF NAUCRATIS MEETS THE ECUMENICAL PATRIARCH

On October 7, 2022, His Eminence Panteleimon, Metropolitan of Naucratis,Chief Secretary of the Holy and Sacred Synod, had a meeting with His All Holiness Bartholomaios, the Ecumenical Patriarch at the See of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople.

During the meeting, His Eminence expressed his filial love and respect for the Church of the First Throne of Constantinople and for His All Holiness the Patriarch, while conveying the heartfelt prayers and fraternal sentiments of the His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa to Him and to the Ecumenical Throne.

His Holiness thanked the Metropolitan of Naucratis for the pilgrimage visit to the martyred Phanar, spoke with heartfelt words about the ongoing missionary and humanitarian work of the Alexandrian Church in Africa, while praising the sacrificial contribution of His Beatitude Theodoros II and his dedicated co-workers, clergy and laity, to the faithful peoples of Africa.

The meeting ended with an exchange of commemorative gifts.
