On the morning of 27th June 2018, His Eminence Panteleimon, Archibishop of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon drove to the city of Dolisie to visit the “St Efstathios” Orthodox Orphanage and the “Light of the Nations” School belonging to the Holy Metropolis, at eh end of the 2017-2018 academic year.

At the model Orphanage he had the joy of meeting with the children there, to whom he offered toys, clothes, bed-linen and sweets. He also had extensive collaboration with the Director, Mr. Pavlos Diafouka, regarding current service issues.

Immediately after that His Eminence had a meeting with the Director Mr. Jean Claude Tchilimbou  and Staff of the Orthodox Primary School, to whom he expressed the gratitude of the local Church, for the excellent cooperation and the exceptional results of their educational efforts.

A two-hour meeting followed with the Parents Association of the pupils concerning the timely programming of the new academic year 2018-2019. A particularly encouraging fact  for the continued diligent efforts of the local Church in favour of Dolisie's youth was the expression of the gratitude of the parents to the Metropolitan and the assurance that they would intensify their efforts and their consistency so that the Orthodox school could continue the course as the city's best school.

His Eminence then conducted a sanctification service for the beginning of the construction work of a new basketball court for the young pupils, and the children of the Orphanage, on the grounds on which both the Primary School and the Orphanage are situated, which is a kind donation from the Autonomous Port of Pointe-Noire

After the final discussions for the immediate commencement of the restoration work of the Orthodox school's toilets, at the expense of the Charitable and Missionary Association of Heraklion, Crete, "The Bridge of Love" and the short visit to inspect the small bridge and the road that was constructed last year by the  Metropolis to facilitate the students' arriving, His Eminence left for Pointe-Noire.
